Retro gaming

The game played well and everything, but it was ugly as sin. The streets kind of game me a headache, just because they looked so bad. Don't get me wrong, everything was exceptionally detailed and well rendered, but the style itself was just too damn ugly. (And the gameplay was a little slow. A faster rate of fire from all weapons would be more fun, in my opinion.) A great tribute to the games I'd probably rather forget, and a well made game. I just didn't like it.

Great game

It's cool, but faster=better.

Silly.

But not bad, at all. It was funny, if a little late.

10 points for relevance...

Other than that, it was whack, but I'm sure you weren't trying to cook up a masterpiece. Congratulations on being the first to address this sensitive and compelling issue in game format.

Fun

This was fun and well made. There were only a couple changes that I would suggest. The UI transitions are too slow: After pressing a button, it takes a good second before you can press the next button to get where you're going... it gets old very quickly. Second, I agree with the last reviewer: there should be some sort of progression in the levels- after I made it through the first maze, I thought that I lost or something, because it just took me back to the difficulty select screen. Great concept, though. It's simple and fun. And I may have to steal the idea some day.

Damn.

These babies were shitting their pants like crazy. I don't think anyone ever shit their pants in my Kindergarten- that was a preschool thing. But the game looked great and played great, and no one shook any babies. That's always good.

Controls?

There was something off, but nothing that ruined the gameplay. Maybe if there were just two directional controls, to turn the dragon clockwise or counter clockwise, they would feel a little more intuitive. Very stylish game (but the font didn't match the style).

Great game.

The action was smooth and the controls were very responsive (and the hit detection was clean as hell). It definitely had that classic arcade feel that so many Flash games try for but can't reach. I only wish there'd been more to it, more items/interaction to keep it a little more interesting. I bailed out halfway through the first level, just because simple run and gun games like this are generally pretty tedious. Overall, great game with room for improvement, a true tribute to older games like Shadow Dancer and Ninja Gaiden.

Nice.

But where do the lemons come from?

Good shit.

This tutorial was simple as hell, but it's been a long time coming. NG is FILLED with retarded "how to make a button" tutorials- it's about time we got something a little more advanced, or at least more interesting. If you went a little more in-depth with your coverage (and made it a little prettier), you're looking at a high 3, maybe more.
