Viva la Fulp?

This was an awesome concept until the last screen. Pull your tongue out of the Internet's ass.

deathink responds:

do you mean like this --------> :P :I

I don't want to be a dick, but I'm with the guy before me- there's really not much strategy to this. You just bang against the enemy until he turns around. That seems to be a serious flaw in the game mechanic. I feel your pain, but I think you guys should have probably seen that one coming, and maybe come up with a way to address that...
As it is, it's kind of like Joust, but not as fun.

TheMillz responds:

Yea--and read the comment I left him....dick
:P

YES!

This is the first time I've ever made it into the top ten of an online game's high score list. I had to play the game 3 times to get that score, and the simple fact that I played this game three times in a row makes it worthy of 10 stars.

Matt-Porter responds:

Grats on the score, I remember hating high score boards because people were SO good at the games. Glad you enjoyed are simple teaser submission, be sure to keep an eye out for the real deal in the next few weeks.

Nice.

Awesome mechanic. This is the first puzzle game I've bothered to finish in a long, long time. Everything was great!

jmtb02 responds:

Thanks :). I appreciate it.

GENIUS!!!

NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT! MY GOD, THIS COULD START A WHOLE NEW GENRE OF GAMES!

Armegalo responds:

Haha, well at least you funny

Fun, stylish.

When the "Level Up" text first appears (every time it appears, for the first half second or so), it looks like the font for that textfield wasn't embedded- it changes to another font after it appears. I fuckin hate when that happens, personally, so I thought I'd give you guys the heads up- I know how hard it is to check for that on your own machine.

Perry responds:

Ok I will look into that, but I dont think my coder wants to work on this anymore.

Calling bullshit...

It's definitely a good physics engine, but if you expect me to believe that it took you YEARS to figure out how a physics engine works by yourself, I expect that you're eitherfull of shit, or really dumb. I think it's because you're full of shit. Great piece of work, though. You might be interested in searching for the ActionScript Physics Engine (APE). Could have saved yourself a few years of self-discipline if you'd taken a look at that.

Nameless12345 responds:

I started trying to figure it out when I was 12 and didn't have any internet access, and I've been improving on it since then outside of this particular project.

Frontpage!

Congratulations- the gameplay's really unique. Good to see fellow MochiLand junkies up front!

casinojack responds:

Cheers Johnny - congrats to you too for the daily feature, I can see Drunken Masters becoming a classic.

Seriously...

If you're trying to be a flash game designer, pretend you never saw this tutorial. It's completely filled with bad habits, and it will make you a shitty programmer. Which means you'll make shitty games.

If you're really into game design and want something worthwhile, search for game programming tutorials on Google. And if it looks as sloppy as this one looks, there's a good chance that the information inside is just as sloppy.

clintonp responds:

hey, i dont see you making any better tutorials and this is for beginners

Realtime blowing could be fun, too.

What if you had to move the balloon with the fan, but there was no "charge" for the fan- it kept spinning as long as the mouse button was held down, and kept the balloon up and moving as long as it was within x pixels of the balloon? Adding that kind of action to this would probably blow the puzzle side of things, and the levels would probably need to be redone, but if you ever decide to make a sequel, I'd say to try that- it's just too slow for me right now.

jayc06 responds:

i'll also give this a good thought.

no plans for sequel for now
